Like The Way I Do”.

  1. Similar Features
  2. Bring Me Some Water
  3. Like the Way I Do
  4. Don’t You Need
  5. Chrome Plated Heart
  6. No Souvenirs
  7. Let Me Go
  8. The Angels
  9. 2001
  10. Ain’t It Heavy
  11. Dance without Sleeping
  12. You Can Sleep while I Drive
  13. Like the Way I Do (live)
  14. I’m the Only One
  15. Must Be Crazy for Me
  16. Come to My Window
  17. All American Girl
  18. I Will Never Be the Same
  19. Happy Xmas (War Is Over)/Give Peace a Chance
  20. If I Wanted to
  21. Your Little Secret
  22. I Want to Come Over
  23. Nowhere to Go
  24. Angels Would Fall
  25. Enough of Me
  26. I Want to Be in Love
  27. Breathe
  28. This Moment
  29. Cry Baby/Piece of My Heart (with Joss Stone)
  30. Refugee
  31. I Run for Life
  32. I Need to Wake Up
  33. Message to Myself
  34. Fearless Love

Pretty please with sugar on top? ;)

One Way Glass Stand Up

In case you are wondering what song they played in the beginning of „Kick Ass” – that was „Stand Up” by The Prodigy.

And the main part of that was sampled off Manfred Mann’s „One Way Glass”:

Linuxwochen 2010 Wien - Die „Kum-ba-jah” Edition

The licenses granted in sections 2(A) & 2(B) extend only to the software or derivative works that you create that run on a Microsoft Windows operating system product.

Try to see through Microsofts reality distortion field, demployed eg. here.

Story of 1

The story of the number one is the story of Western civilization. Terry Jones („Monty Python’s Flying Circus”) goes on a humor-filled journey to recount the amazing tale behind the world’s simplest number. Using computer graphics, „One” is brought to life, in all his various guises, in „STORY OF 1”:

Ob Microsofts Exchange-Clustering jemals funktionieren wird?

Q&A: Exchange 2010 High Availability / Public Folder:

Grml 2010.04 - codename Grmlmonster

GRMLmonster Grml is a bootable live system (Live-CD) based on Debian. It includes a collection of GNU/Linux software especially for system administrators and users of texttools. Grml provides automatic hardware detection. You can use Grml (for example) as a rescue system, for analyzing systems/networks or as a working environment. It is not necessary to install anything to a harddisk; you don’t even need a harddisk to run it. Due to on-the-fly decompression Grml includes about 2 GB of software and documentation on the CD.

New features

Special new features:
  • vnc bootoption: booting with vnc=yourpassword and the startx bootoption automatically starts the vnc service for user ‘grml’ using graphical remote access with provided password
  • dmraid related bootoptions: nodmraid to not enable present dmraid devices, dmraid=on to automatically enable any present dmraid devices and dmraid=off to actively try to stop any possibly present dmraid devices.
  • New bootoption bootid for improving reliability of boot process. The specified argument to the bootoption is matched against a token on the ISO to make sure that only the correct Grml version gets booted.
  • More robust network booting: The last Grml release (2009.10) already invented the ethdevice= bootoption which allows you to specify a specific NIC for booting. The bootoption ethdevice and its surrounding code has been extended so it is possible to specify multiple devices at once that should be configured. If you don’t have any specific configuration all present NICs will be used for configuration via DHCP automatically. Visit the Grml developer blog for further information
  • Providing an improved default configuration for top(1) utility when running as (non-root) user
  • Improved serial console handling through /etc/inittab*. Using normal getty instead of mgetty and several baud rate settings (115200,57600,38400,19200,9600,4800,2400,1200) to let getty figure out which mode should be used.
  • Reworked xinitrc handling: modularize the code into ~/.xinitrc.d/ and support configuration through ~/.config/grml/xinitrc.
New features in Grml’s Zsh
  • new function changed()
  • zshrc: map backtab to reverse-menu-complete
  • smarter C-z shortcut
  • Switch `minimal-shell()’ from ksh93 to mksh
  • Use wrapper functions for changing title/screen
  • Some minor bugfixes and code enhancements

Charlie Stross On The Future Of Apple

Apple are trying desperately to force the growth of a new ecosystem – one that rivals the 26-year-old Macintosh environment – to maturity in five years flat. That’s the time scale in which they expect the cloud computing revolution to flatten the existing PC industry. Unless they can turn themselves into an entirely different kind of corporation by 2015 Apple is doomed to the same irrelevance as the rest of the PC industry – interchangable suppliers of commodity equipment assembled on a shoestring budget with negligable profit.

The long term goal is to support the long-term migration of Apple from being a hardware company with a software arm into being a cloud computing company with a hardware subsidiary – almost like Google, if you squint at the Google Nexus One in the right light. The alternative is to join the PC industry in a long death spiral into irrelevance.

  • John J. Barton, Hewlett Packard Labs
  • Satish Thatte, Microsoft
  • Henrik Frystyk Nielsen, Microsoft

<STX_john>: „this is checkout one - I’m completely alone out here - our outpost is being overrun - two and three are dead (damit meinte er die Kassennummern) and the enemy is pushing hard forward - I’m outnumbered and outflanked - need ground support – NOW!”
