Nintendo Japan bietet ab heute keine Unterstützung für alte Konsolen mehr
Seit dem 15. Juli 1983 verkaufte Nintendo das Nintendo Entertainment System, kurz NES bzw. Famicom. Zu den Klassikern, die auf dem NES ihr Debüt feierten, gehören Super Mario Bros., Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Metal Gear und Castlevania. Nun zieht Nintendo allerdings den Stecker:
Itmedia is reporting that Nintendo of Japan is finally ceasing hardware support for the Famicom system (the Japanese equivalent of the NES) as of October 31st.

Also mentioned in the report, Nintendo of Japan is also ending their support for the Super Nintendo (Super Famicom), Nintendo 64, Gameboy, and Gameboy Pocket lines.
