Why I like blogs
Mary Beth Raven is the lead product designer for the „Hannover” project, a redesign of IBMs Lotus Notes. In her blog, she documents the progress and the decissions made in the progress of the visual redesign of Notes. Today, she had something to say in regards to focus and selection:
… the default for the Hannover release of Lotus Notes will be to use the same selection (and focus) model as the operating system on which it runs.
We will offer as a user preference the ability to revert to the Notes selection model in its entirety.
IMHO the „right” way to do it. Let’s see, if they also offer a way to set this option via a policy for central administration.
Although this is not a completely transparent process, Mary Beths blog gives you a insight into the process and even involves the readers. Me likes that.
