Bob Dylan @ Wiener Stadthalle
Vienna, Austria, Tuesday 9th June 2008: Bob Dylan played the „Wiener Stadthalle” and I was there!
First of: The sound was unbelievable. Never heard such a great sound in the squirrel sounding Stadthalle before. A great bow to Mr. Dylans sound engineer, that was a great feat to accomplish.
The concert itself: Swing, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Blues, a little bit of Country and almost no Folk. Mr. Dylan played the keyboard and not the guitar, but old a new songs fit together in an old-fashioned but great sound.
I liked Mr. Dylans new interpretations of old „classics” („All Along The Watchtower” was unbelievable). I do not unterstand the critics saying he crippled his songs.
If you have the chance, go watch Bob Dylan in concert – it’s worth the 2 hours (and watch out, the concert will beginn on time!!!).
