IBM redefined „Global”
From the „IBM still has geography problems” comes todays story. Via my feedreader, I stumbled across „The global XML Challenge” by IBM:
I don’t know, why, but IBM wants to know (and probably didn’t shell out for an IP<->GeoInfo service like adultfriendfinder does) where you are from. Take a look at the location selector:
Yes, right! There is no „Austria” (not to speak of „Österreich”), just „Germany”. So after spelling Wien (Vienna) as „Wein” (wine) and adding it to Germany, IBM again made Austria a part of Germany.
Thanks IBM. Very „global”.
