File-„Backup” from Windows to Windows/Linux?
Dear lazyweb. I am looking for a free/open source solution to „backup” or „synchronise” files from my Laptop to several locations. One target would be a USB hard disk, another a Linux server, connected via sftp/scp. I tried Unison, which looked promising, and worked in my first tests, until I hit this, still unresolved, bug:
> The problem is simple - if you specify a path of format:So, dear lazyweb. Do you have any suggestions regarding a file „backup” solution, which basically allows me to keep several copies of my local home directory on several, distributed drives. If I can get away without a database to manage this and without installing GTK and Cygwin, it would be nice. Oh, and I do not wnat to use Mozy, Amazon S3, … right now. I just want to sync with my Linux box.
