What to do if Tkabber won't start
After the fresh install of Windows XP, I couldn’t get Tkabber to run again. I used the „normal” version, the Tkabber Pack and even the Startpack to no avail. Finally, I took some time and started up Process Explorer.
Using this fabulous tool by Mark Russinovich, I was quickly able to pinpoint the culprit. It was the crypt.dll that got installed with GnuWin32, that didn’t let Tkabber start. Once I renamed that file, all was good again.
Just a reminder for me in case I stumble across this problem again.
